What's On Offer Romantic Clare News Coverage Useful Links

We are located on the west coast of Ireland in the county of Clare within the famous limestone lunar landscape of the Burren. This spectacular landscape will amaze your eyes with its Narnia rock formations of terraced hills which appear like giant helter skelters on a beautiful horizon. These hills sit in the midst of hectare after hectare of horizontal stone slabs.

The limestone pavements are home to a diverse and rare flora, with species typically found only in alpine or Mediterranean climates, but here found growing side-by-side. Successive generations over thousands of years have left indelible marks for everybody to enjoy on this magnificent Burren - Megalithic tombs and ring forts, churches, crosses and castles are plentifully located throughout this wonder of wonders.

The world renowned Cliffs of Moher which dominate the south western coast of the Burren are located only four miles from the farm.  The Cliffs, where the rugged land meets the wild Atlantic Ocean, are Ireland's premier tourist attraction.  The famous cliffs are striking in stature, rising approximately 700 ft vertically from the sea and the breath-taking views will leave you with unforgettable memories!

Two miles from our farm is the beautiful, sand-duned Lahinch beach which stretches along the wild Atlantic for miles and miles. Lahinch is also home to one of Ireland's most renowned golf courses. The restaurants, pubs and clubs in the town provide the visitor with a wide variety of food and entertainment as well as a vibrant night life.

Doolin which is a small coastal fishing village sitting on a shelf above the Atlantic is located three miles from the farm. Doolin is world famous for traditional Irish music and is home to Ireland's most famous Irish music pub - Gussie O'Connors.

These are but some of the highlights of the beauty to be found in this magical part of County Clare. You must come and discover for yourself these and many more awe inspiring sights - only then will you understand why it is home to so many artists, writers, poets and musicians.
